Compact Motorhomes: Big Adventures don’t need big Motorhomes

What counts as a ‘compact motorhome’? Any Motorhome under 6.5 meters is considered a compact Motorhome. This includes certain van conversions.

Benefits of Going Compact.

If you’re thinking of downsizing your motorhome or just comparing different types of leisure vehicles, you might be thinking about going compact! But what are the benefits?

First, parking! Parking a 7-meter motorhome isn't for everyone. A smaller motorhome is more car-like to drive and park. Far less daunting for anyone not used to driving a longer vehicle.

Long-term storage is also something to think about, especially in the winter months. Your Motorhome may not be suitable for home storage due to its length, resulting in potential extra costs to store your Motorhome elsewhere. Some campsites have restrictions on vehicles over a certain length, which can be limiting if you’re travelling spontaneously and looking for a site last-minute.

If you’ve driven your motorhome to Cornwall and have experienced the narrow roads near the coast. You already know what I'm about to say. You’re going to want a smaller vehicle if you want that sea view when you wake up!

Compact motorhomes prove that you don’t need a massive vehicle to enjoy unforgettable road trips. They’re practical to own, economical to run, and perfectly suited to UK roads and campsites. The windy roads through the coastal towns of Wales and Yorkshire are calling! If you want freedom without the fuss, smaller really might be smarter.
